Chester Basin, Lunenburg County CROFT, Jacob Donald: The unexpected passing of Jacob Donald Croft occurred on Thursday, June 25th, 2020 in Lunenburg County, NS. Born on March 8, 1991 and lovingly known as “Jake” to his family and friends, he is survived by his father, Steven Croft; his mother, Patricia Sullivan (Georges Ouellette); and his courageous and vibrant daughter, Clara Croft. He will also be forever remembered and live in the hearts of his brother, Jeff Thibault (Shannon); and Nichole Croft (Nolan Colp); along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Jacob is predeceased by his wife, Vanessa “Ness” Countway. Jake’s greatest pride in life was his daughter, Clara. His interests included fast cars, ATV’s, motorcycles and anything else with a motor. His favorite places included the family homestead on Gold River known as the Croft Estate; in New Brunswick on the Thibault Ranch; or just chillin’ locally with his lifelong friends. A visitation will be held at the Croft Estate, located at 392 Croft Rd, Chester Basin, NS, on Sunday, July 5th from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. Kickstands up at 3 p.m. for a memorial ride in Jake’s honor (which will return to the homestead within the hour). Food and an outdoor celebration of life will commence at 5 p.m. to send our boy off in style. Everyone welcome. For those who wish, a trust is being set up for Clara, Jacob and Vanessa’s sole surviving daughter.
