JEFFERSON, Elmer John Ward

Age 88, of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Germany on July 25, 1928, he was a son of the late Stanley Roy and Bertha Belle (Hirtle) Jefferson. He was a fish weight attendant during his working years for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Surviving are his brother, Glen (Lillian) Jefferson, Halifax; niece, Gail Brown, Halifax; nephew, Eric (Pam) Jefferson, Halifax; great-nieces and nephews, Amanda Brown, Allison Brown, Dale Jefferson (Shelley Fisher). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his, brothers, Gerald and Keith in infancy. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by personal request. A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany with Rev. David Lutes officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be mad to Epworth United Church or Canadian Cancer Society.
