88, of Dartmouth, passed away suddenly, on December 10, 2019 in Glasgow Hall, Parkland at the Lakes. Born in West Northfield, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Hazel (Mossman) Bruhm. In her younger days, she was a member of the West Northfield Lutheran Church. After marrying Gordon, who was a member of the RCMP, they were required to live in many different communities in NS. Joan always loved to return to the homestead in West Northfield and spend summers there with her family. She is survived by her sons, Gregory (Cheryl) and Gordon (Nancy); grandsons Curtis (Jennifer) and Gregory and one granddaughter Sarah; and many nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gordon; and son Michael; sisters Doris, Erna, Edith and Margaret; brothers Murray and Eugene. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday December 17, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield, Lunenburg Co. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
