Of Bridgewater, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at her home. Joan was born December 2, 1943, in Upper Kingsburg, Nova Scotia. Daughter of the late Wilson Mosher and Verna Peeler (Wile-Mosher). Joan was a retired home care worker with Lunenburg Home Support. She spent a lot of time with her family and friends who she was most proud of. She was always on the go, if she wasn’t busy off to one of her card games or lunches, you’d find her on Facebook talking and seeing what everyone was up to. She was a social butterfly with a love for life. She was always smiling and making people laugh with her funny sense of humour. She was the matriarch of our family. She touched so many hearts and lives. She will be greatly missed by so many. Joan is survived by her two daughters, Denise Printz (Bill), Wileville, and Jacqueline Printz-Nowe (David), Bridgewater; two granddaughters, Meghan Nowe (Cory), Liverpool and Angelique Bastian (Brady), Bridgewater; one great granddaughter, Kaydence Weagle, Bridgewater; sister, Mildred Mosher (Sherman pre-deceased), Lunenburg; nieces, Margo Corkum (Bobby), Bridgewater, Bonita Dixon (Paul), Halifax, Maxine Wentzell (Tony), Pleasantville, Heather Power, Maitland, Vandelea Creaser (Danny), Italy Cross, Michelle Gillespie (Stuart), Riverport, Charmaine Smicer (Paul) Riverport; Vanessa (Derick) Hubley, Calgary, AB; brother-in-law, Fred Silver (Virginia) and numerous other nieces- nephews, great nieces-nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her stepfather Ross Peeler; two sisters, Vivian Silver and Syliva Power and granddaughter Allison Nowe. The family has chosen R.A Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville to honour Joan’s Legacy of Life. Family and friends of Joan are invited to visitation on Monday, December 11, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at R.A Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. A Memorial Service will be held, Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 1:30 p.m. at the Bridgewater Baptist Church, Bridgewater. Pastor Lennett J. Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family and friends are invited to a reception after the burial at the Bridgewater Baptist Church to celebrate Joan’s life.
