ZWICKER, George A.

2021-08-07

68, born, raised and resided in Middle Cornwall, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2021 while enjoying a peaceful morning on the island, his favorite place to be.

Predeceased by his parents Robert and Grace Zwicker, sister Pauline Spidle, and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife Christine Veinotte, son Kent (Lindsay), daughter Laurie (Evan), four adored grandchildren, Lilah, Alder, Abigail, Emmeline, special niece Amanda, siblings Maxwell, Evangeline, Madeline, and brother in law Merlin.

He grew up on the family farm and as an adult he worked as a scallop fisherman and engineer for 16 years before he decided to change careers to be closer to his family where he then worked in construction and plumbing while taking many courses to further his knowledge. He has been known to all as a jack of all trades and handyman, always there to lend a helping hand, often asking for nothing in return. He was the best grampie our children could have ever asked for. Caring, compassionate, and always there for you. He loved everyone, and his place on earth was to make those around him smile. He was such a special person, a wonderful husband, father, grampie, son, uncle, brother, and friend to so many.

As George would say, “Keep Smiling”
