It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Janet (Jennie) Martha Knox, 80 of Garden Lots announces her passing on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Blue Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mae (Frittenburg) Morash. Her family always came first, especially her grandchildren. She would always go above and beyond to make them happy. Janet worked most of her life in the Cooked Fish Department at National Sea Products before taking an early retirement due to health reasons. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Church, Blue Rocks where she sang in the church choir and belonged to the United Church Women (UCW). She was also an active supporter of all church events. Janet was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23, and the Ladies Auxiliary. Janet is survived by her daughter, Tara of Dartmouth; son, Greg (Elena) of Germany grandchildren Jeffrey (Pamela) & Braden of Halifax, Zoe of Slovakia & Lauren of Germany, sister Harriette (Claude) Stoodley of Garden Lots, and loving husband Gerald Knox. Besides her parents, her brothers Dana & George and infant sister Brenda predeceased her. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 2 p.m. in the St. Paul United Church Hall, Blue Rocks. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Blue Rocks or charity of choice.
