JEFFERSON, Sylvia Geraldine

89, of Hebbs Cross, passed away September 13, 2018 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Joseph Mandaggio, ON and Gladys (Stewart) Mandaggio, Hebbs Cross. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Stewart; brother, Edward Mandaggio; daughter, Linda (Vernan) Bolivar; son, Donald Jefferson; grandchildren, Kyle (Rebecca), Robin (Tom), Tabatha (Matthew), Trevor (Chandell), Cory (Patricia), Christian (Christina); and twenty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard; her husband, Earl; son, Gary; grandson, Scott. With help, Sylvia was able to remain in her home until she was admitted to hospital. In earlier years, she enjoyed spending time in the woods, hunting and fishing. She kept busy sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting, but always found time for a game of bingo. She will be missed by her family. Sylvia donated her body to the Dalhousie Medical School. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for the family. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Sylvia's family wishes to thank doctors, nurses and other staff at South Shore Regional Hospital for the excellent care she received throughout her illness.
