CONRAD, Betty Pearl

Age 84, Bridgewater, passed away on July 15, 2022, at Ryan Hall (Shannex) Nursing Home, Bridgewater. Born March 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Wesley and Leda (Arenburg) Oickle.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Jane (Clarence) Purnell, Mill Village; Vicki (Ernie) Selig, Bridgewater; Kelli (Royce) Crouse, Baker Settlement; Denise Wade, Wolfville and her sons, Jeffery Conrad, Wileville; Gregory Conrad, Hebbs Cross; her grandchildren and their children: Jeremy (Nicole) Conrad, William and Samuel; Joshua (Kelsey) Conrad; Shana Seymour, Rosilee, Daxton and Zayden; Justin Wade (Marie Josee); Jordan Seymour (Kelsey); Taylor (Henderson) Mphepo, Nalani and Lesedi; sisters, Sylvia (Del) Thimot, Dartmouth; Alice Conrad and Linda Steeves, Bridgewater; sisters-in-law, Julia, Marci, and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Arnold (Ace) Conrad, her sisters, Doris, Grace, Ethel, her brothers, Clyde, Fred, Paul and Murray.

Betty worked as a telephone operator for Maritime Tel & Tel and retired from Bell Aliant in Halifax.

Betty enjoyed her family and being a mom. She loved everybody and had a special bond with her grandchildren. Betty was well loved and will be sadly missed by all.

A private gathering for the immediate family will be held. A burial service will be held at a future date. Donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society.
