It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and uncle Reuben William Veinotte in SSRH, Bridgewater, NS with his loving wife and daughter by his side. Born June 1, 1928 in Beech Hill, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Fred and Hilda (Hatt) Veinotte. He was a carpenter by trade, building many homes from the ground up. Reuben and his wife Florence spent many happy hours, always together, camping in Keji, hunting, canoeing, and attending music festivals. Their marriage was truly one of the hearts. Reuben accepted the Lord as his Savior in the middle of his life and was a member and trustee of Western Shore United Baptist Church. Reuben is survived by his wife Florence (Hatt Dorey); daughter Holly (Graham) Wile, grandson Lorin Wile; son Arnold (Virginia); nephew Allen (Darlene),who he cared for as a son, and family (Christian, Robin, and Gregory). Beside his parents, Reuben was predeceased by brother Charles; son Gerald; first wife Myrtle (Hatt). Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Joseph Green on September 6, 2020 at Western Shore United Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations to Western Shore United Baptist Church (PO Box 25 Western Shore, NS, B0J 3M0). Thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ER and 4th Floor of SSRH, with a special thanks to Dr. Heather Robertson, and to all who sent sympathy cards, memorials, visits, food and phone calls, and to those who participated in the service.
