Dad was a handsome, complicated man, gifted in many areas including music, drawing and operating heavy equipment. Quietly inquisitive, Dad was known for his wide array of backyard engineering projects, many of which actually worked. During his lifetime he was a dairy farmer, a body work specialist, a school bus driver, and the owner of a heavy equipment business often run with the involvement of one or more sons. Church life was always important to Dad. All his life he had a special love of children and he took great pleasure in bird watching and growing flowers on his property. He insisted that the Chevy Malibu was the only car a man should own. Especially during his time at Shoreham Village, Dad was always ready to give the very best hugs to anyone around. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the kind and generous people at Shoreham Village in Chester, who took such wonderful, loving and compassionate care of Dad for the past several years.
