We sadly announce the passing of Olive Florence Wynacht, 87 years old, of Shoreham Village, Chester and formerly of Bridgewater on December 8, 2018 at Shoreham Village, Chester. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born September 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John Obediah Arbet and Laura Lavinia (Rhodenizer) Joudrey, of Maitland. She was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Wynacht; brothers, Dawson (Pearl) and Cecil (Carrie); sisters, Myrtle (Emery) Slauenwhite and Gertrude (Malcolm) Dauphinee. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and special friends, Shirley and Eugene Meisner. She worked as a cook for many years at the former Royal Hotel in Mahone Bay before going to the Fairview Hotel in Bridgewater until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bingo, curling, crafts and people watching at Shoreham. We would like to thank Dr. Cox and the staff of Shoreham Village for the wonderful care they provided Aunt Olive. Also, a big thank you to Doris Levy, her roommate at Shoreham, who was like a sister to her, and the Levy family for treating Aunt Olive as one of their own. Visitation was 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, December 11 in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service was 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12 in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Reverend Simon Davies officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Donations can be made to Christ Church, Maitland, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Shoreham Village, Chester, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
