ABBOTT, Ruth Virginia

Age 78 of Petite Riviere, passed away May 2, 2022, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born in Petite Riviere on July 29, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Jennie (Ramey) Sperry.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Irene Grace, Bridgewater; brother, Herbert (Gail) Sperry, Petite Riviere; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Byron Abbott and sisters, Ruby Lijeskic and Maurita Croft.

Ruth spent her summers at the beach, swimming and working on her tan. She enjoyed Sunday drives with Byron and was a caregiver at heart. Ruth was known for her singing abilities. She was a cat-lover and enjoyed spending time in the garden.
