It is with great sadness that the family of Bruce Mervin Dares, 94 of Lunenburg, announces his passing on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Centre, he was the son of the late Bennett and Letoil (Conrad) Dares.

Bruce enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, and his greatest enjoyment was camping with the family, travelling over the year to visit family in Fort Mac Murray Alberta and Sicamous, BC and enjoyed a trip with his Eileen to Barbados and following the passing of Eileen, a trip to Europe. Bruce always looked forward to his monthly card games with his curling buddies and he really enjoyed the recreation activities at Ridgewood, especially the Friday Bingo where he often shouted out “O66”.

His love of life, family, friends, and the community at large, were so important to him. Bruce’s quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him.
