LOHNES, Everett Dennis

With a heavy heart, the family of Everett Dennis Lohnes, 85, formerly of Spectacle Lakes, Lunenburg Co. and for the last several years resided at Martin’s Point with his partner Laura Barkhouse, announces his passing on the morning of Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. Everett was born on Wednesday September 11, 1935 to Dennis and Grace (Hirtle) Lohnes of Back Centre, Lunenburg Co. Everett lived a long and fulfilling life, with a 26 year long career with the South Shore Regional School Board. He had many passions in life such as mechanics, wood working and gardening. He was truly a jack of all trades. Everett is survived by this partner Laura Barkhouse, children Wanda Finigan, Kevin Lohnes and his children with Sandy Lohnes, Katelyn (Mallory Wilson) Lohnes and Jessica (Brandon Rafuse) Lohnes. He was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy Lohnes, brother Wilfred Lohnes and parents Dennis and Grace (Hirtle) Lohnes. A celebration of Everett’s life will be arranged in the months to come. All family and friends are welcome to join in on the celebration. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Everett’s memory may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or the Red Cross.
