HARVEY, William Ross "Bill"

Age 70 of Hubbards passed away suddenly on Monday, July 31, 2017, in his home with family by his side. Born in Uxbridge, Ontario he was a son of the late Ada (Yake) and Clarence Harvey. Bill was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy; from 1965 to 1992 he was posted to 17 ships, his first and favourite being the Bonaventure. He was deployed on a peace keeping mission in Vietnam. He was fiercely proud of his family. He will be forever missed and lovingly cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by daughters, Kathleen (Mitch) Harvey, Dartmouth; April (Philip) Latham Harvey, Hubbards; sons, Russell (Angela) Harvey; Robert Harvey, both of Dartmouth; Adam (Stephanie) Latham Harvey, Hubbards; sister, Linda Doran; brother, Loyd Harvey; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Roxanna Lee and his brother, Bob Yake. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope for Wildlife. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #160, 703 Main St, Dartmouth, officiated by Reverend Clarence Bungay.
