ROBAR, Gertrude Mary


Age 97 of North River, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she has been residing. Born in North River, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Cora (Acker) Daniels. Surviving are her daughters, Daisy Robar (Winston), North River; Cecelia Robar, North River; Joanne Whynot (Michael Baker), Bridgewater; daughter-in-law, Beverley Robar, Maplewood; sons, Sterling (Florence) Robar, Roland (Sandra) Robar, Coady Robar, all of North River, Myles (June) Robar, Lake Pleasant; brother, Reginald Daniels, Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany; 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Reginald Robar; sons, Theodore and Sydney; sisters, Bernice, Amy, Ashie and Grace; brothers, Leslie, Cecil, Clifford and Ray; son-in-laws, Dalton Robar, Chester Robar, Merlin Whynot. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany and where funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 28 with Rev. David Whynot officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, North River. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Rosedale Home for Special Care or charity of choice.
