Age 93, passed away in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, Monday, November 14, 2022. Born September 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late James Edwin Sarty and Annabelle (Robar) Sarty of North River, Lunenburg Co., NS.

Born in North River, she attended North River school and North Rosedale high school in New Germany, Lunenburg Co. She was a Sunday school teacher, organist, Young People's Choir director and past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North River, Lunenburg Co. She was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada, New Germany branch and the first married woman to ever work at that branch; she retired to raise her family. After moving to Brickton, she worked at the Royal Bank of Canada in Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co. and retired early due to ill health. Vivian also became a member of the Lawrencetown Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Willis Frank; grandson, Cory James Frank; great-grandson, Walker Daniel Field, and son-in-law, Mark Vincent. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 16 siblings, half-sisters, Elsie Robar, Gladys Acker, Blanche Meisner, Lillian Acker, Sadie Crouse, Alice Crouse, and sisters, Florence Sarty, Mary Robar, Elva Sarty, Meda Sarty in infancy, Mimmie Demone; half-brothers, Mark Sarty, Doran Sarty and brothers, Fred Sarty, Paul Sarty, David Sarty.

She is survived by children, Julianna (Bill) Dempsey, Jennifer (Lorraine) Durling, Jane Vincent, Janice (Barry) Roscoe, James (Cathy) Frank and a great many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren along with even more nieces and nephews.

She was a terrific mother, grandmother and with all that practice an even better great-grandmother who loved us all unconditionally. We were very lucky to have known that kind of love.

The family of late Vivian Frank wishes to thank the staff at Mountain Lea Lodge and Valley Regional emergency unit for their care and kindness.
