There's no word on a specific cause but a woods fire Tuesday in Hebbville required multiple fire departments to help extinguish the blaze

A haze of smoke from the fire caused motor vehicle traffic to periodically pause along a section of Highway 103 because of the reduced visibility.

Hebbville firefighters were summoned to the incident at about 3:40 p.m.

The fire was discovered behind residences off Highway 3 between Mcbunt Drive and Bell Avenue. There were no evacuations of any nearby homes.

It was around 7:30 p.m. before the last remaining fire crews at the scene were released from the scene.
