Woman crashes SUV into light pole, causing power outage in parts of Bridgewater

A SUV traveling east on Dufferin Street crossed the street and hit a light pole, causing a power outage to sections of Bridgewater on January 14.

Bridgewater Police Service, along with EHS and the Bridgewater Fire Department responded to the call.

The vehicle's driver, a 39-year-old Lunenburg County woman was assessed by paramedics and treated for minor injuries.

Due to the incident, Nova Scotia Power attended and replaced the damaged pole, resulting in sporadic power outages during the repair. No charges are anticipated.
