The Washboard Union is coming to the Lunenburg County Lifestyles Centre, Friday, October 25.

Last year, the group won the CCMA Group of the Year and the Roots Artist of the Year and in 2019 they were the JUNO Breakthrough Group of the Year, adding to their impressive collection of awards.

Some of their hits include, Shine, Shot of Glory, She Gets Me and Feel Like That.

"Anytime we have the opportunity to bring this calibre of band into our facility is good news for the area. Washboard Union played in Queens Place and it was a great success there," said Carolyn Bolivar-Getson, chair of the Lunenburg County Multi-Purpose Centre Corporation.

"When we had the opportunity to bring them in here, it was definitely something that we wanted to do. If you ask the people who are following the new country, they are definitely a group on top of the list for fans. I expect it to be sold out.

Bolivar-Getson called it great news for the area and said she can't wait for the show herself. I would love to see more events like this happening."

Opening for Washboard Union will be singer Tristan Horncastle from Fredericton, New Brunswick. He also has share of awards winning with hits like,She Brings The Beer and A Little Bit of Alright.

Tickets starting at $39.95 each, will be available starting July 12 at 10:00 a.m. from the LCLC box office, at any Ticketpro outlet, online at ticketpro.ca or by phone at 1-888-311-9090.
