The provincial government employees swam a route in the harbour September 19 as part of the launch of their annual workplace fundraising campaign in support of the United Way organizations across Nova Scotia.

Swimmers heard words of encouragement from dignitaries before parading to a nearby dock where they made their splash in the harbour.

A similar type event took place in Halifax the day before.
