The scenario: Eight kayakers travelling together to Chester from Indian Point ran into trouble off Western Shore, got disoriented in the fog, lost contact with one another, and scattered somewhere among a plethora of islands.

A CH-149 Cormorant helicopter from 413 Transport and Rescue Squadron, CCGS vessels Sambro and Earl Grey, along with Mahone Bay inshore rescue and the Indian Point volunteer fire department participated.
