The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) is moving to keep people from gathering outside to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
On March 23, MODL announced the closure of all municipal parks and trails within its parks. As the Arthur Young Trail is not within a park, the municipal trail remains open. And provincial rail trails remain open.
"I strongly encourage people to practice physical distancing, by keeping at least six feet away
from people they do not reside with," Mayor Carolyn Bolivar-Getson said in a news release. "Meeting friends to
walk closely together is discouraged, please walk only with people you reside with. We all need
to work together to flatten the curve, and keep everyone safe," she added.
