Man charged after motor vehicle collision in Chester

Police have arrested and charged an 18-year-old man from Chester with criminal driving charges following a motor vehicle collision which injured two other men.

On Friday, September 29, just before 11 p.m., Lunenburg County RCMP, EHS and the Chester Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision involving a car and a parked SUV on Central Street in Chester.

Two male passengers were transported to South Shore Regional Hospital.

Due to the seriousness of his injuries, one of those men, an 18-year-old from Chester Basin, was later transported to the QEII hospital in Halifax by LifeFlight.

The arrested man faces two charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and will appear in Bridgewater provincial court on November 15.

An RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
