The Ross Farm Museum, The Gold Bean Cafe, and Oak Island Resort and Conference Centre are among the many winners of the Best of Chester Municipality Business Awards.
The awards were announced at a Municipality of Chester (MOC) council meeting June 6.
The Best Of Awards showcase some of the finest local businesses in the area with winners and runners up in 23 categories. A total of eligible 968 submissions were received with 12,172 votes cast, according to a MOC news release.
Tops in each category will be promoted in advertising and presented with certificates.
Small business constitutes 99 per cent of businesses in MOC and sets a standard of excellence in customer service, product and service quality, and reliability.
"The success of our local economy is owed to the quality and diversity of our small businesses. They are its backbone," says Allen Webber, Warden for MOC. "We value our small business community and try to support and recognize them whenever we can."
