Bridgewater's Athletics Gymnastics Academy (AGA) suspended camps, competitive training, and classes until further notice due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The local club issued a notice March 13 informing the public its Dominion Street facility is closed indefinitely.

"If you are registered to attend camps during March Break, we apologize but at this time, we will not be running those camps," reads the notice signed by administrative staff.

"If you are registered to attend the upcoming spring session beginning Sunday, March 22 - at this point it is unknown when the suspension will be lifted."

AGA advises keeping an eye on its social media for updates as they become available.

"Our staff will continue to update all members on the status of the situation as information is released in the coming days."

Gymnastics Nova Scotia (GNS) postponed provincial championships and all sanctioned activities, such as workshops, training and competitions, until further notice due to COVID-19 concerns.

"We apologize for the inconvenience; however, we feel this decision is in the best interest of protecting the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, officials and the general public," GNS posted on its web site.
