A hardware failure caused a disruption August 16th to a number of Nova Scotia programs and services, and delayed some payments to clients of the Department of Community Services and the Maintenance Enforcement programs.
During the disruption, which lasted several hours, services at Access Centres, and web services such as novascotia.ca and novascotia.com, were unavailable. The outage also impacted external emails to and from government.
A government news release said with the restoration of service in the late afternoon any missed payments would be processed as quickly as possible.
The release added that the province apologized for any inconvenience the disruption caused.
