Horse plunges through business’s plate glass window in Lunenburg

A horse and buggy tour in Lunenburg went awry on May 19 when the horse spooked and took off running with its driver and two passengers in the buggy before crashing though the glass window of a local business on Montague Street.

Lunenburg RCMP responded to the collision around 12:50 p.m. When the horse took off, it first struck a parked vehicle before going through the window of the business.

Both passengers and the driver were uninjured, although the horse required stitches from a local vet.

On Trot In Time Buggy Ride's Facebook page, the company posted: "We appreciate the concern from the people of Lunenburg and local area after the event that unfolded today.

"We are looking further into the incident on Montague Street. Our wonderful horse was seen by the local vet, received a few stitches and will be given extra care and love over the coming days. As we continue to look into this we will make any adjustments to ensure the ongoing safety of all concerned."

The incident is still under investigation
