Manager, SHAID Tree Animal Shelter

Two-year-old Bosco is the sweetest, most playful little pitty mix and is looking for his forever home as the only pet.

He loves to play fetch with his big purple ball and loves snuggling. He can be shy when you first meet him, but will quickly warm up and soon be your best friend.

Unfortunately, Bosco hasn't had the easiest life so far. He was brought to SHAID in August 2021 with his litter-mate sister, Bella. After spending time getting to know them, booking their spay and neuter surgeries, vet checks, vaccinations, and deworming, Bosco was first adopted out with his sister in October 2021.

He began showing signs of litter-mate syndrome (mainly resource guarding) and it was decided for the best interests of both dogs to be separated. Bosco came back in May 2022 and wasn't showing any resource-guarding issues in our shelter environment.

He was again adopted in late June and started showing resource-guarding issues against the new family's cats and they made the sad decision to return him. Both families still adore him but knew he wasn't the right fit for them.

If you know someone who is looking for a great little dog (he only weighs about 18 kilograms) as their only pet, please point them in our direction! You can meet Bosco Tuesdays to Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please email info@shaidanimalshelter.com or call us at 902-543-4849 if you have any questions about Bosco.
