Fun at the Big Ex!

BRIDGEWATER - The lights, the sounds, the action, the food, the animals, the displays - the South Shore Exhibition has it all.

Celebrating its 131st anniversary and first since 2019, because of COVID-19 protocols, the 2022 edition of the Big Ex that came back in a big way.

Tommy Mailman, president of the South Shore Exhibition Association said that things went smoothly this year for the event that ran July 26-31.

"Everything went well. We had great weather and our attendance was above what we expected," he said. "I think we can attribute that to the great weather and to the fact that people were excited about getting out and getting back to the exhibition."

Mailman said that he didn't hear of any complaints and he didn't know of any serious incidents.

He made a note that this year's entertainment went over well, especially Saturday night that featured the Spinney Brothers and Emerson Drive.
