Seven candidates vying for the federal seat in South Shore-St. Margarets took to a hotel stage in Cookville for a public forum October 2 in hopes of making a positive impression that translates to votes at the ballot box later this month.
The event, hosted by local business leaders, featured questions on the topics of health care, the environment, immigration, and commerce.
Two other candidates are on the ballot but were not present for the Cookville forum.
Jason Matthews is running for the Veterans Coalition Party and Shawn McMahon is an independent seeking the seat.
The general election is on October 21.
