Driver arrested following single vehicle collision

A 22-year-old male was arrested at the scene of a single vehicle collision in Lunenburg County.

Nova Scotia RCMP reported that at approximately 4:25 a.m. on September 27 Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 12 in Aldersville, where the car went off the road and struck a pole.

The driver, who suffered minor injuries, showed signs of impairment. He was arrested and transported to hospital by EHS. He was later released from custody and charges are pending.

A female passenger in the vehicle was transported to hospital by EHS with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the RCMP.
