CHESTER – The Chester Drama Society (CDS) Christmas show is presenting, Ghosts of CDS Plays Past, on Dec. 2 and 3 at St. Stephen's Community Hall located on Regent Street in Chester.

The show is a new version of clips of plays from 1988 to the present, plus some live comedy.

Both shows will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is pay what you can, and half of the proceeds will go to the local food bank.

The majority of Christmas plays have been written by Malcolm Callaway and has been a co-writer of many of the musicals as well.

"His Christmas plays are dubbed shallower than a cookie sheet and are aimed at adults who don't like Christmas mush," according to Donna Harwood-Jones, a member of the society.

A Christmas play written by Susan Cruikshank will also be included in this year's show as will a live skit written by Sandy Morash.
