Rapidly falling rain caused some flash flooding in parts of the South Shore.

The Region of Queens saw flash flooding on Market Street in Liverpool when a storm drain backed up, which lead to municipal staff diverting traffic from the area for some time.

A parking lot on Liverpool's waterfront experienced some flooding, which is typical during higher tides and storm surges. High tide will occur at 2:30 p.m.

Environment Canada forecast between 30 and 40 mms of rain for Queens County while Lunenburg County was issued a rainfall warning, predicting some 50 to 70 mms of rain.
