Bridgewater woman facing attempted murder charges

A Bridgewater woman has been charged with attempted murder after police responded to a 911 call to the King and Dufferin Street area of Bridgewater on March 22, at approximately 1:35 a.m.

Bridgewater police subsequently located a shirtless adult male on the street, who was covered in blood and suffering from a stab wound to the left shoulder area. He was transported by EHS to South Shore Regional Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police located and arrested Jennifer Lynn Wentzell of Bridgewater at a nearby residence.

She will be appearing at the Bridgewater Courthouse at 1:30 p.m. today facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a weapon, and uttering death threats.

Bridgewater Police Chief Scott Feener said the individuals were known to each other and characterized the call as a domestic dispute..
