Blockhouse man, 72, charged with possession of child pornography

Lunenburg County District RCMP have charged a 72-year-old Blockhouse man with possession of child pornography following an eight month investigation.

According to RCMP, they arrested Brian Gregory Langille on September 21 after the extensive investigation, which involved forensic analysis of numerous computers and electronic devices seized as part of the investigation.

Langille is currently under charge on numerous other offences related to the same investigation, including two charges of sexual assault, two charges of sexual interference, four charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, and three charges of breaching a court order.

Langille has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on November 7, at 9:30 a.m. for arraignment on the possession of child pornography charge.

Police continue to investigate.
