Adoptables of the week

We are busy bees getting ready for our yard sale coming up June 1 and 2 at the Tri-District Fire Hall in Newcombville, and we hope to see everyone at the new location!

The sale will run on both days from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Sunday is our "fill a bag for $5" day.

We will have some amazing new and gently used treasures for the whole family; and the best thing of all, is that all funds raised will go directly back to the animals in our care.

We have lots of cats available for adoption, but we wanted to share the ones who seem to be needing a little more help finding their forever homes.

Dole is an eight-year-old orange and white short-haired male who would prefer a quiet home; he is fine with other cats but terrified of dogs. He is the last of 'the Orange Crew,' a group of eight senior cats ranging in ages seven-to-17 years who came into our care in March and every single one of them required dental surgery. He is shy, but as soon as he receives attention, he starts gently purring and makin' biscuits.

Catrina is a seven-year-old, long-haired calico who came to us in rough shape. After treating a severe ear infection and polyp removal (and spay), she has now been cleared for adoption. She would love a quiet home with a senior; a warm lap to snuggle on while she watches the evening news and Jeopardy.

Mr. Wilson is a handsome two-year-old short-haired tabby and white male. He is on a urinary diet but has had no issues since being here at the shelter. He is still young and energetic and would love someone to play with.

We also have Dodger, a one-year-old beagle-coonhound mix. He is a very sweet and loveable boy with lots of energy; he is good with kids, cats, and other dogs, and is not so patiently waiting for a family of his own. He would greatly appreciate a fenced yard, ongoing training and daily exercise.

If any of these pets sound like they might be a good fit for you, please visit the shelter any day from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We would be thrilled to introduce you to a new furry family member!
