A heat pump system donated to the Bridgewater Inter-Church Food Bank by Bridgewater's Rhyno's Ltd. and installed by Conquerall Electrical could save the charitable organization approximately a third on its yearly power bill of about $4,000.

That's according to John Biddle a food bank coordinator, who, along with other volunteers, hosted a thank-you event for the two companies at the food bank October 14.

"If we save $1,300 a year on power that is like the equivalent of us spending on meat - hamburger - every week for the equivalent of two and a half months. Everything that we can save adds to more money for us being able to buy the food," said Biddle.

Biddle estimates the system Rhyno's and Conquerall Electrical have donated to the food bank would retail at about $8,000 to $9,000.
